Years in business – founded in August of 1992
Our story begins in 1992 when our founder and CEO started developing the first version of our software, a property management system for hotels. Originally called Lodgical, the system launched in 1997 and served hotels across the United States and Canada.
In 2007, we embarked on a journey to transform our solution into a camp management system tailored to the needs of remote camps. The initial version of our system, known today as SmartLodge, was first implemented at a remote camp in the Canadian oil sands. SmartLodge has since been implemented at remote worker housing across five continents.
Along the way, we introduced EnRoute, an online booking tool that simplifies travel management of fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workforces. EnRoute enables companies to book and manage all modes of transportation required to transport crews to and from remote projects safely and on-time.
Today, we are proud to offer a suite of software solutions that facilitates the way companies manage their FIFO travel and remote camps worldwide. We innovate on our solutions every day, regularly introducing product updates and new features. We thrive on new challenges and look forward to learning more about the requirements of your remote operations.

Bev founded the company in 1992, serving as the lead developer of the company’s first property management system. An engineer by trade, Bev remains heavily involved in product development. Among other responsibilities, she dedicates much of her time to ensuring our technology continues to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients. Prior to founding the company, Bev served as the Chief Information Officer of a Southern California hotel chain.
Chief Operating Officer
In his role, Jon works with various teams to ensure we are on track to meet our commitment to robust product development and superior service for our clients. Prior to Camps & Crew, Jon worked in hotel management.
Chief Technology Officer
Mark drives the vision for our product roadmap, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our product suite remains reliable yet innovative. Mark previously worked consulting companies on enterprise software development.
Chief Software Architect
Jon oversees the development of our core products, SmartLodge and EnRoute, having spent many months during his tenure working directly with clients at remote camps in Canada. Jon held various engineering roles before Camps & Crew.
Head of Training and Implementation
Prior to joining the team, Cei oversaw travel and accommodations at a remote gold mine in British Columbia, Canada. Cei was a power user of SmartLodge during her nine years at the mine. She now leads new client training and implementations.
